Mauna Kai Towers

A million thank yous for your thoughtfulness in providing your guest with everything possible to make us feel at home! Your beautiful Tower is the most comfortable place we’ve stayed at since we’ve been coming to Kauai over the past many, many years.
We spent just about everyday at the beautiful beaches nearby. We spent one day up at the Canyon and then to Salt Pond Beach (great for kids), Ha’ena Beach and the one at the Princeville Hotel had beautiful reefs. At low tide, our 6-year-old was able to enjoy seeing Moray Eel, Moorish Idal, Butterfly fish, and even an octopus. Large sea turtles – accidentally sat on one!
We also enjoyed listening to the videos on the harp. Being a very musical family, you have definitely stirred our interest in buying a harp and taking lessons. Such beautiful music. Thank you for the computer station. It was nice to be able to e-mail our family and friends at home. We’ve had a wonderful time. Thanks for everything.

Thank you for your generosity – you have provided us with all the comfort needs so we are free to explore and enjoy this beautiful island. We are first-timers here, having spent most of our Hawaiian trips on Maui. Your attention to detail both decoratively and practically contributed to a spectacular 11 days. Thanks again.

First of all thank you so very much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. You put so much love into every little detail in your home. We didn’t miss a thing cause your home is so well equipped. A lot of luxury that makes life easier that we don’t know back in Europe.
While writing this we are listening to your harp music. Very relaxing. I will get one of your CDs because I’m a foot reflexologist back home in Amsterdam. My clients will love your music.
We really enjoyed our stay here in Kauai. We did a lot of snorkeling, mostly at Tunnels, and we saw turtles and of course lots of beautiful fishes. We went to Limihuli Gardens where we heard a bit about Hawaiian culture. Our tour guide was great and we listened to his stories and legends about Kauai and got to learn lots about the plants here. This should be something that your guests should do. It is really worth it!!!
We also took a trip with Na Pali Coast Catamarans starting in Hanalei down Kauai’s breathtaking Na Pali Coast. We had the perfect day guided by dolphins, turtles, etc. We will never forget these spectacular views . . . up and under the water while snorkeling.

Get your vegetables at the Farmers Market, the sweet corn and the mangos, papayas and pineapples are great. Thanks, Sylvia for mentioning it in your very detailed and informative Guest Guidebook. You put so much effort in everything that people feel at home at your place. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts for letting us stay in your home.

We have had a wonderful visit here. We have been to this island 5 times and this was the best time ever. Your house is so charming, clean, and has lots of personality. All the small details: books, CDs, DVDs, and your magic touch have converted this place into a dream home. Everything you need is at your finger tip. You have thought of everything . . . nothing was left out. For once we didn't feel like we had fotgotten anything. We enjoyed snorkeling, hiking and kayaking. Evenings here have been very relaxed. We watch World Cup games and kept up on our e-mail (though not work-related stuff!). Our teenagers enjoyed having their own space. I do lots of traveling in my line of work and I am fortunate enough to stay at the best hotels available. But let me tell you, you blow them away . . . they do not even come close. Let me congratulate you on a job well done. This is what I call pride of ownership and you must be proud to endorse it by calling it Sylvia's Tower.

As we pack up to leave this paradise, we thank you for everything. Your tower is beautiful and you’ve thought of everything to make this a home away – from everything! The beaches are beautiful, the water is warm, the mountains are spectacular! Snorkeling is great at the beach below. We saw lots of fish: a little black moray eel, a very large puffer fish, trumpet fish, sea urchins. Great are for collecting Ni’ihau Shells, too!

The house is great, and every detail makes you feel at home. Thanks to that we even really enjoyed the 2 days of rainy weather we had.
